I have always wanted to try one of these, but just never had before now. I'm really glad I finally did. The spiral slicer is well made and seemed to be sturdy when using it, not flimsy at all. I love the stainless steel blades and handle on this, especially the fact that they are not suppose to rust. I used my Spiral Slicer on a few potatoes, to make a potato dish. I didn't peel the potatoes first, just washed and spiral sliced them. The slicer cut through the potato rather well with out any difficulty. The blades were extremely sharp, and I was thankful that it came with the hand piece to hold the vegetable in place so I wouldn't cut myself. I was able to spiral slice thru three potatoes in just a few minutes. It cut the potato in a cone shape down to about 1 inch of the potato left, which it didn't cut. Which wasn't a issue for me, I just used a knife and sliced the last little bit into small pieces. After using it seemed to clean up really well and the small cleaning brush that came with it was rather handy for cleaning in and around the blades. It also came with a really nice sturdy storage bag for keeping everything together in one place. I really liked that as I sometimes lose some of the pieces to things. This also came with a recipe ebook that has lots of amazing ideas and recipes to try with your new spiral slicer. #spiralslicer
